The following brands represent the INNOVATION USA Award Shortlist for 2011.
ADO Clothing
A.D.O integrates a passion for traditional Indian culture and art of western designs. All of the fabrics are dyed in 5000 years old Indian tradition of natural herb dye and uses variety of organic textiles such as Organic wool, Peace silk, and jersey developed in local co-ops.
AFIA
By translating Ghana traditional textiles to American styles, Afia connects their craft and industry to the consumer in an “urban indigenous” style. Afia connects skillful artisans that would otherwise be land-locked due to poor networking opportunities to the industry to the international fashion market, in a way that respects and glorifies their incredible tradition and work.
The Andean Collection
Andean Collection was designed as a company to unite two worlds and benefit both. The creation of accessories from naturally harvested materials brings sustainable economic development to underprivileged communities in Ecuador featuring designs from natural materials, sustainably harvested from the rainforests and lowlands of Ecuador They can be found in over 500 boutiques and specialty stores, including Anthropologie.
Auralis Inc
Auralís blossomed out of the need to create eco-conscious and style-conscious pieces. It has been a labor of love and passion since the beginning. With each new collection, Auralís designs for a better future, one garment at a time, promoting and collaborating on projects that develop local and sustainable economy in Puerto Rico.
AVNI
Avni is the Sanskrit word for Earth, and the company’s philosophy is to preserve and present Earth’s heritage by bringing forth various textile arts that have been practiced for centuries. The mission of Avni is to promote artisans across the globe by showcasing their talent through its collections. Designs offer interesting mixes of sharp tailoring and gentle draping; neutral colors accented by vibrant patterns; and unique Eastern fabrics in modern Western silhouettes.
Carrie Parry
CARRIE PARRY achieves a timeless style rooted in sustainability and wearability. It’s a concept, an aesthetic, a philosophy, and a lifestyle, designing clothes of the finest quality rendered from responsible sources that transition effortlessly from day to night, season to season. Sophisticated, tailored and with an appreciation for luxury and simplicity, CARRIE PARRY is in the details, from intricately textured fabrics to whimsical touches and fastidious workmanship.

Madit Tuisk is passionately dedicated to creating clothes that sustain earth and offer a unique lifestyle experience, as well as a way to make a difference to human health, farmer welfare, the environment & future generations.
MODAHNIK
The Modahnik line is produced in Africa using sustainable fair trade practices that adhere to the highest ethical and socially conscious principles. We have partnered up with Soko-Kenya, a clothing production workshop in Kenya that provides fair employment to an impoverished community called Ukunda. SOKO is set up as a social enterprise with all profits being invested into the growth of SOKO and local community projects.
REBECCA STREET
Inspired by innate beauty and humanity, Rebecca Street aspires to a new ethos in fashion.
RS mission is to purvey sustainable luxury garments while empowering individuals and
communities and healing the planet.
SOHAM DAVE
Soham Dave believes in optimum utilization of resources through the use of natural biodegradable hand crafted materialsSoham Dave makes entrepreneurs out of women artisans acting as a bridge between artisan and final customer, and strikes the perfect harmony between the urban silhouettes and eco- friendly processes that have earned him a reputation.
