The LDA works to deliver the Mayor’s vision for London to be a sustainable world city with strong, long-term economic growth, social inclusion and active environmental improvement. To do this, we produce the Mayor’s Economic Development Strategy for London, which focuses on: places and infrastructure; supporting people, encouraging business; and promoting London.

DfID

The Department for International Development (DFID) is the part of the UK Government that manages Britain’s aid to poor countries and works to get rid of extreme poverty.

DfID supports the Ethical Fashion Forums Fashion + project through its Development Awareness Fund. The EFF’s Spotlight on Sourcing series is part of the Fashion+ project.

Fashion + aims to increase understanding of development issues amongst fashion professionals, and provide the tools and resources they need to make informed choices in their working roles.

The International Trade Centre (ITC)

ITC is the joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations.

As the development partner for small business export success, ITC’s goal is to help developing and transition countries achieve sustainable human development through exports.

The ITC has supported the Ethical Fashion Forum in its role as UK partner for the Africa Inspires project. Africa Inspires is part of the Ethical Fashion Programme of the International Trade Centre – a new approach to both fashion and poverty reduction in disadvantaged Africa communities.

The project focuses upon the high value, designer and luxury goods sector, in order to allow international fashion companies to develop product lines that incorporate skills and materials from Africa, its communities and its designers.

The City Fringe Partnership is an economic development and regeneration partnership committed to increasing economic and social inclusion in the area to the north and east of the “Square Mile” via our City Growth approach.

The City Fringe Partnership supports the New Entrepreneurs project of the Ethical Fashion Forum. New Entrepreneurs is designed to help emerging fashion business men and women from every background and discipline build sustainable and ethical models for their business.

Awards for All

Awards for All England is supported by the Arts Council England, the Big Lottery Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund and Sport England.

Awards for All supported the Ethical Fashion Forum to bring together organisations in the development of a database and networking tool for fashion businesses, suppliers, and manufacturers, to make it easier for them to integrate sustainability into their working practices.

Business Link

Business Link is a free business advice and support service, available online and through local advisers.

As part of its support for sustainable business, Business Link funded an EFF collaborative project with the EcoDesign Fair to showcase pioneering ethical fashion labels on the catwalk at Chinawhite.

The Hub

The Hub is a social enterprise with the ambition to inspire and support imaginative and enterprising initiatives for a better world. The Hub is a global community of people from every profession, background and culture working at ‘new frontiers’ to tackle the world’s most pressing social, cultural and environmental challenges.

The Hub sets out to create places that borrow from the best of a member’s club, an innovation agency, a serviced office and a think-tank to create a very different kind of innovation environment.

The Ethical Fashion Forum in its inaugural years was made possible by its use of Hub office space in London. Many of our most successful projects stem from partnerships made with other Hub members. The Hub continues to support and promote the work of the Ethical Fashion Forum.

Rich Mix

Rich Mix is located within the buzzing heart of Shoreditch, in a former garment factory.

Rich Mix’s mission is to create and celebrate work from BAME and marginalised communities and to encourage, nurture, grow and explore the cultural and creative talent of all people through a vibrant, dynamic celebration of entrepreneurship, utilising the creative industries and artistic expression as its foundations.

The Ethical Fashion Forum has its offices at Rich Mix. Rich Mix supports and promotes regular EFF events, designed to bring together and support the fashion sector towards sustainability.

The Hospital Club

Designed as a haven for creative thinking, entrepreneurship & entertainment, Covent Garden-based The Hospital Club is a private members’ club & media facility aimed at the creative industries.

The Hospital has a philanthropic department and has supported the Ethical Fashion Forum by providing venue facilities for a range of events, from brainstorming meetings with high profile designers to fashion parties and exhibitions.
