International Trade Centre
The International Trade Centre (ITC) is the joint agency of the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. The Ethical Fashion Consultancy was appointed to deliver a range of services related to the ITC's Africa Inspires project, creating links between producers in Africa and designers, businesses and buyers in Europe
Commonwealth Foundation
The Commonwealth Foundation is an intergovernmental organisation, resourced by and reporting to Commonwealth governments, and guided by Commonwealth values and priorities. The EFC was invited to deliver workshops in Uganda around the theme of fashion and ethics at the Commonwealth Peoples Forum.
Tabeisa
Tabeisa is a not for profit organisation, which works to support local entrepreneurs and business enterprise in disadvantaged communities, particularly in Africa. The EFF worked with Tabeisa to design, manage, and launch a fashion competition which would bring together design and market expertise with a fair trade organisation, Women in Progress, in Ghana
FDSE
The Scandinavian based Forum for Design & Sustainable Enterprise (FDSE) envisions a world where human activity and the natural environment truly work in harmony. To achieve this FDSE are helping a new generation of entrepreneurs, organizations and industry sectors develop innovative products and services that are environmentally viable, socially just and economically prosperous. The FDSE launched the Sustainable Fashion Academy in Sweden in 2008. The EFC was invited to contribute to the launch.
BBC Thread
Thread is an online fashion magazine and information resource promoting eco-fabulous style, was part of a BBC Learning campaign running from May to November 2008. The EFC was invited to contribute to the initiative at a strategic level as well as advising on content throughout 2008.
BBC Slink
The EFC was appointed to contribute at a strategic level to BBC Slinks “Face of Conscious Style” competition, designed to reward more than just looks. Over 1000 entries were received from around the UK.
BBC Blast
BBC Blast is a BBC Learning initiative offering opportunities for young people to extend their interest in art, dance, music, film, writing or digital creativity, develop their own ideas, and showcase their work. The EFC worked with BBC Blast to develop and co-ordinate the BBC Blast Scrap Fashion Initiative.
Wunderman
Wunderman was founded in 1958 by Lester Wunderman, who in 1967 coined the term "Direct Marketing" Wunderman invited the Ethical Fashion Consultancy to contribute to an event on Cause Related Marketing at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival in 2007.
BBCC
The Bangladesh-British Chamber of Commerce (BBCC) is an organisation aiming to support the British - Bangladeshi Community, to encourage their trade and investment and to motivate them to develop their business skills. The BBCC appointed the EFC on a strategic and management role on Fashion Bangadesh, as part of Bangladesh Expo in London.
Make Your Mark
Make Your Mark is the campaign to give people in the UK the confidence, skills and ambition to be enterprising - to have ideas and make them happen. In 2007 the Make Your Mark in Fashion competition was launched, setting young people the challenge to form a team and create a new brand with the help and support of an established sustainable fashion label. The Ethical Fashion Consultancy was appointed to an advisory and support role on the project.
Portobello Business Centre
Portobello Business Centre (PBC) runs a variety of highly regarded courses for people thinking of setting up in business and for people who are already running a business. The Ethical Fashion Consultancy was invited to contribute to and deliver training as part of PBC's Fashion Business Management Training course , on integrating sustainability at the core of business practices.
V Inspired
vinspired.com is run by v, the volunteering people. Supported by the government and private businesses including Sky, MTV and ITV, vinspired is changing the face of volunteering for 16 to 25 year olds in England. The Ethical Fashion Consultancy was appointed by vinspired to help develop, co-ordinate and deliver Fashion Favours during 2008.
Ecologist
The Ecologist is one of the world’s most respected environmental affairs magazines. Since it was founded in 1970 the Ecologist has helped set environmental and political agendas around the world by focusing on the root causes, not just the after-effects, of current events. In 2006 The Ecologist launched its fashion pages, showcasing ethical, fairtrade and organic fashion. The EFC was appointed to advise and provide creative direction on the first set of fashion pages.
Fashion Expo
Fashion Expo is a London based event bringing London based manufacturers and brands together under one roof.
