NGOs AND BIG BUSINESS CAN MAKE A PARTNERSHIP OF WINNERS

Collaboration between Oxfam and Marks & Spencer has saved 5 tonnes of dumped clothing from landfill. Cross-sector collaboration will grow more important over the next three years.
There is a growing recognition that no one sector can address the scale of the sustainability challenge and that new, and even unusual, relationships are required. Collaboration and cross-sector partnerships are the new buzzwords of the movement. To be successful these partnerships must take the people and organisations involved outside their comfort zones. Their strength invariably depends on bringing together different thinking and cultures to create innovative solutions.
