2009 Year in Review

2009 has been a productive year for the Ethical Fashion Forum.

Key achievements and impacts include:

• Launching the first global ethical sourcing marketplace for fashion, opening doors for 32 fair trade and ethical suppliers to the fashion industry

• Building partnerships with trade shows in London, Paris and Hong Kong, and showcasing pioneering ethical brands at the heart of the fashion industry

• Raising wages and supporting sustainable employment in Ghana, Kenya and Malawi

• Influencing decisions and policies by fashion companies affecting thousands of people in supply chains

• Launching The Ethical Fashion Network, expanding it to over 2000 members in over 70 countries in less than a year

• Reaching over 1000 fashion industry professionals through seminars and masterclasses focused on how fashion can change lives

• Bringing together 12 industry organisations to collaborate towards change

• Raising the profile of ethical fashion in the media and contributing to the four fold growth of the market for ethical fashion in the UK to reach around £175 million
