‘Sustainable Futures’ Exhibition, the Design Museum , Shad Thames, London SE1 2YD
In association with Puma.Safe, the Design Museum is showcasing ‘Sustainable Futures’. This exhibition features design projects that explore issues associated with sustainability. Portrayed through a selection of directional design, the exhibition focusing on how design can lead the way and make a positive contribution towards a more sustainable future.

Curated under five themes: Cities, Energy and Economies, Food, Materiality and the Creative Citizen, Sustainable Futures will explore projects that are either in the market place or in development. Fashion designer Christopher Raeburn and his Digital Rainbow Collection which reuses Ministry of Defense parachute materials will be displayed alongside projects that have not yet been seen by a wider audience.

C.L.A.S.S. , the international organization of showrooms promoting eco-sustainable products and brands, is holding an exclusive presentation at the Fuorisalone of Milan‟s International Furniture Exhibition with a selection of ideas, limited editions and innovative projects, all focused on eco-friendly materials and recycling & renewing and high tech techniques to protect the environment while creating new “lifestyle‟s musts” for a better and more responsible care of our planet‟s future.

The ultimate contemporary concept seen through different and appealing style experimentations, from revolutionary to purely enjoyable ones.
In a polyedric micro-universe, interactive spaces take place, so to let the public feel the atmosphere and discover a harmonious balance between trend and awareness, consumes and respect for nature.

The Fuorisalone CLASS Eco-Lounge will host its public like a modern arena, in which the five senses will be stimulated with a perfect mix of top aesthetics and upgraded sensibility. Including Caira Design’s “capsule-boutique” with its re-created and re-built dresses, a kind of a griffed vintage atelier.

Eco-Lounge CLASS gives a new sustainable perspective over interior design, fashion and accessories.

UK AWARE is the UK’s green and ethical lifestyle exhibition which offers a platform for:

* Organisations to educate, network, sell, improve brand profile, build databases and conduct market research. * Consumers to purchase and learn. * Organisations to align their brands with the UK’s premier green and ethical lifestyle exhibition through event sponsorship.

UK AWARE 2010 will bring together 200 exhibitors, 15,000 visitors, 100 low carbon vehicles and over 50 world class guest speakers.

TRAID Good Sew Workshop at UK Aware, Olympia Two, Hammersmith Road, W14 8UX

Bring a piece of clothing you no longer wear to be customised, remade or repaired with the help of the TRAID team. As well as walking away with a gorgeous new item of clothing you made yourself, you’ll also have the chance to visit a smorgasbord of environmental, ethical fashion and organic food and drink organisations. Loads of activities to take part in too, and guest speakers and seminars from Greenpeace to WWOOF.

Vancouver Eco Fashion Week
A selection of the best eco-designers from around the world comes together to showcase their latest collections of environmentally friendly, trend-setting fashion. With collaboration from designers, buyers, models, agencies, fashion directors, trend setters and media, the message is global.

Informative seminars tailored to meet the interests of buyers, designers and consumers looking for information and resources related to eco-friendly practices in the clothing industry.

Every aspect of this event maintains environmentally friendly standards, from the printed materials to the food, drinks, and gift bags. Don’t miss the first ever Canadian eco fashion week.

Alternative Fashion Week , Spitalfields Traders Market, Crispin Place, Brushfield Street, E1 6AA

Alternative Arts presents East London’s major fashion event – Alternative Fashion Week. Spitalfields will play host to the most original and creative collections by a fresh crop of new designers with truly innovative ideas, providing a genuine alternative for them to present their work directly to the press, public and the fashion industry. Over 70 designers come from all over the UK and the world.

14 different designers will show each day. Original and recycled textiles are a major feature. Showcasing womenswear and menswear from the sublime to the sensational, with an emphasis on environmental awareness and ethical sourcing. The fashion shows will be open to the Press and Public daily at 1.15pm accompanied by live contemporary jazz. The fashion market that surrounds the catwalk from 11am to 5pm each day is a shopping sensation with stalls selling an exotic range of clothes, textiles and accessories.

Admission is free and includes a programme listing every designer. Collections will be taken up for Barnardo’s and the Spitalfields Crypt Trust charities.

Fashioning An Ethical Industry Placement Training London (exact location tbc)

A chance to see first-hand how the industry works, to put your learning into practice and to ask questions. Through the training, students will gain a deeper understanding of issues faced by garment workers and efforts being made to improve conditions and enable them to share their experience with other students on work placements.

PeruModa , Fortaleza del Real Felipe del Callao in LIMA, Peru

The 13th international Peruvian fashion show Perumoda 2010 will, for the first time since its creation in 1998, dedicate a fashion space for the brands that contribute to sustainable development through good practices of fair trade.

On this space will be presented high quality clothes and accessories made of natural fibers such as cotton and alpaca. It showcases the best of the Peruvian export supply in apparel, footwear, accessories and jewellery.
