Texsal is a group of women located in the Ecuadorian highlands producing knitwear, accessories and jewellery.
Created in 1976, the company was formalised in 2001, this association works for social and economic development for their community and their people.
The artisans live at an altitude of 3550 meters above sea level, in Salinas Bolívar, Ecuador. A town recognised nationally and internationally for its process in community associativity and micro enterprise development.

Texsal’s products are made with natural fibres aiming to protect nature in the community and promote animal welfare.
This venture gives to their community a source of employment and income that contributes to improving the quality of life of their families.
Through training in knitting techniques these artisans are improving the quality of the products in order to become recognised as pioneers in making handicrafts using natural fibres in Ecuador.
