Luxury day wear and active wear

Profile

Avila is an emerging Australian lifestyle label locally produced in Melbourne, offering luxury clothing you can wear everyday. We instil qualities of elegance and naturalness in all our garments by selecting luxurious natural fabrics, ensuring quality fit and an ethical and sustainable conscience.

Fabrics such as organic cotton, merino wool, bamboo, linen, modal and tencel are used in various methods to create unique shapes and textures that flatter the female figure. The combination of these fabrics and unique design techniques create everyday luxury garments for women of all shapes and sizes.

Avila produces two ranges, one focused on casual daywear and the other range is an ‘Athleisure’ range, which includes styles combining elements of active, comfort and leisure. This range aims to bridge the gap between fashion and active wear. This unique combination of eco friendly fabrics infused with sports luxe and made in Melbourne, creates a unique selling point for Avila in the market.

Ethical Focus & Policy

Avila supports local artisans, collaborating with them to produce each collection. These workers choose the environment they would like to work in whether it is at their own studio or at the Avila studio. Each artisan sets their own price for each garment ensuring fair pay and working conditions.

The quality of craftsmanship is very high, believing that if a garment is not made correctly then it is not eco friendly.

Avila sources fabrics with low environmental impact, using a range of natural fabrics. The team researches into where the fabrics come from and the processes in which they are made. Off cuts of fabrics are used to make smaller items and any scraps are donated to local art/craft groups.

Avila is currently looking into working with a local fabric mill to produce their own fabrics and setting up their own factory.
