Upcycled design-led fashion accessories.
Working with small artisans producers, Paguro offers a range of stylish and practical bags, jewellery and accessories. All of the products are made by hand using recycled and repurposed materials. The recycled rubber of inner tubes for bags, wallets and jewellery are used. The material represents an ethical and vegan alternative to leather, and the different textures of the inner tubes make every product unique.
Every piece in the range is hand-cut and hand-punched, with exquisite and individual patterns. The eye-catching designs and the soft texture of the recycled rubber indicate the comfort of the jewellery.
Paguro uses distinctive materials which bring unique character and individuality to all products.
Paguro aims at creating beautiful objects from materials which many would discard. The brand invests care and attention into the making process to bring every piece to the highest standard.
Ethical Focus & Policy
Paguro works with 2 designers whose creativity and environmental consciousness has led them into the world of upcycling. They source recycled and repurposed materials from within a short radius of their workshops. Not only does the use of these materials carry environmental benefits, the designers thrive on the challenge of using these unusual materials in creative and stylish ways.
Paguro products are produced in an ethical manner, with both designers attempting to follow fair trade principles in the creation of their items. Paguro has recently extended their range of upcycled inner tube jewellery.
The use of reclaimed materials has clear environmental benefits.
By creating well designed and finished items, Paguro also ensures that the products have a longevity which is rarely seen in the world of fast fashion.
Paguro’s designers are drawn from all over the world but they focus on groups who aim to promote positive social and environmental change through their enterprises. Paguro’s Cambodian partners, Smateria, operate as a social enterprise. They provide free daycare for their employees’ children, thereby empowering local women to work. One of their UK partners, , teach woodworking skills to unemployed young people, giving them transferrable skills that they can take into their future careers.
