SOURCE Intelligence is the world’s leading source of sustainable fashion business intelligence, from inside information on brand leaders, to pioneering suppliers, market and sales reports and supply chain innovation. It is a part of EFF’s SOURCE platform launched in 2011, in collaboration with partners including the Fair Trade Foundation, World Fair Trade Organisation, Textiles Exchange, and others. It is a social enterprise.

EFF WORK EXPERIENCE

The Ethical Fashion Forum, a not-for-profit organisation, runs a rolling experience and training programme and aims to maximise the value of this for participants, providing hands-on training and experience in the sustainable and ethical fashion arena. Many former participants in the programme have successfully progressed to paid roles throughout the fashion industry. We hope to inspire participants in the programme by the opportunities for sustainability in the fashion sector.

Placements are based at our London office at Rich Mix, situated in London’s most vibrant fashion district around Brick Lane. The training and experience programme runs throughout the year. We find that participants can benefit most from the experience if they contribute at least 16 hours per week, for 6-8 weeks. Longer placements are possible and can provide a more varied and in depth experience. Work experience roles are unpaid, however travel costs within London and lunch expenses can be covered.

Placement periods normally run four times per year: Jan-March, April-June, June-September, and October to December, though there is some flexibility to this. We aim to fill positions in advance, and we tend to get a lot of interest in the opportunities offered, so please apply as early as possible.

1. MEMBERSHIP AND EVENTS WORK EXPERIENCE The membership and events work experience offers candidates the opportunity to work closely with the Ethical Fashion Forum core team members, supporting the membership and SOURCE teams, liaising with inspiring members and fellows from all over the world, and helping to organize events for EFF members and network.

2. SOURCE EDITORIAL WORK EXPERIENCE Up to three SOURCE editorial experience positions are available, with a choice of focus on business, market and sales, or sourcing and supply sections of the SOURCE. Candidates benefit from first hand experience as part of the editorial team for the ground breaking online SOURCE Intelligence magazine.http://source.ethicalfashionforum.com/

3. MARKETING WORK EXPERIENCE The Marketing work experience will offer you first hand experience of a broad range of marketing techniques and tools within an exciting organization at the forefront of the Ethical Fashion Movement. The experience includes promoting the work of the Ethical Fashion Forum through newsletter, social media, website, press releases, and events, as part of a creative team.

4. NETWORK WORK EXPERIENCE The Network work experience with the Ethical Fashion Forum will offer you experience at the very forefront of the growing Ethical Fashion movement. The role involves helping to co-ordinate the Ethical Fashion SOURCE network, which is the world’s largest online community of fashion professionals dedicated to sustainability, bringing together over 6000 members in more than 100 countries.
