Where Does It Come From? is an ethical clothing brand with a difference – their garments are all completely traceable!

Customers can explore the supply chain of all Where Does It Come From? garments by keying a code printed on their garment’s label into the Where Does It Come From? website. They can then find out their garment’s creation story.

The clothes are made in ethically run co-operatives using traditional, low-carbon processes and eco-friendly dyes – kind to both people and planet.

Where Does It Come From clothing has been designed by to be stylish, practical, comfortable and ethical. Launched in June 2014 they now offer two unique design ranges – a selection of denim children’s clothes and a choice of block-printed ladies cotton scarves.

Where Does It Come From? aims to inspire people to have a better relationship with their clothes and with the people who helped create them.

Ethical Focus & Policy

The ethos of Where Does It Come From? is to enable customers to find out about the processes and people involved in making their clothes. The aim is to inspire people to choose products that are made in an ethical way and with a positive environmental footprint.

Where Does It Come From? works with partners in developing communities to create clothing ranges using the traditional skills of the area. Using these amazing skills means customers get access to unusual fabric designs and techniques whilst also creating a channel to enable these crafts people to access a much wider market.

Techniques such as spinning, weaving and dying by hand are passed down through the generations. They are also very environment friendly. All dyes used are azo free.

Where Does It Come From? is licenced by the Fairtrade Foundation and working towards using the Fairtrade mark and Organic certification on all products.
